Tariffs. AI. Corporate liability. An ever more intricate engineering and scientific landscape. What would it mean for your bottom line if you could turn these challenges into a blueprint for growth?
Welcome to Recondite Consulting, your strategic partner in navigating the complexities of manufacturing and high technology. We don't just bring business sense: we are revving up our engines to clear the highest technical hurdles your company faces. With our help you'll be able to explore new vistas, sharpen your core enterprise assets, and not only survive, but thrive, by bringing real transformation to your firm's most profitable niches.
Run by native Michiganders, we offer a taste of Detroit's autochthonous industrialism to heartland and coast alike. We are starting out slow, but check back soon for a network of offices servicing the nation or even the world. Get to know us now, and let us shine a light on the road ahead, so you can steer your business to success!
The word recondite means "something difficult to understand, little known, or concealed." At Recondite Consulting, we are very familiar with the strange and esoteric world of modern scientific publishing: Indeed, we are directly involved in academic spheres ourselves!
In light of a business climate quick to celebrate the potential of artificial intelligence, it would be very tempting just to write some code with the premise of magnifying production efficiency through embedding scientific knowledge in AI systems. Our company's "master scientific advance implementation software," you could call it. Yet to do so would be an exercise in futility: not only are current models not up to the task, but for all of today's technological advances, the human mind and spirit can never be replaced. It is the human beings, created Imago Dei, and not the algorithms, that make your company go round. We feed the people, not the code.
Mr. Bonneville, a nationally-ranked math whiz, is assembling a motley team of first-rate intellectuals embodying the principle that "with the meek is wisdom."
We are in the process of scaling up operations between now and our official launch sometime next calendar year. See our desktop website for particulars on eventual pricing (currently, services are free!), timeline, and our founder's background.
At this point we are really just getting our feet wet, looking to do projects for free, not just to help our clients, but also to build up our own skill-set and grow in working well as a team.
Our services comprise five tiers:
Tier B: Technical Business Consulting |
|
Tier E: Scalable Engineering Consulting | not yet available |
Tier G: General-Purpose STEM Consulting |
|
Tier I: In-Training (Shadowing or Solo) | no charge for consultants in training |
Tier S: Scientific Training for Staff |
|
Alternatively, we are willing to negotiate results-driven pricing, where we offer a significantly discounted hourly rate, e.g. 40% off, in exchange for a share of proceeds. Details will vary, please get in touch. (Right now, services are free.)
Post-launch services may be prepaid at 50% off through the end of October '25 (then 25% off till launch). Such prepaid hours may also be expended for priority access to our team member(s) during pre-launch, if we get backlogged. Please note that availability during pre-launch is not guaranteed, as we will frequently be traveling and/or dealing with matters unrelated to Recondite Consulting while we prepare our launch.

The more I learn of science,
the more my faith approaches
that of a French peasant woman.
Blaise Pascal
Mr. Bonneville vividly remembers the scene: perched beneath hangers, pouring eagerly through a purple tome, filled with structural diagrams and prose that flowed like a novel. His mother was clothes-shopping, and our 9-year-old autodidact was digesting Solomon's Organic Chemistry, rescued from the oh-too-intimate clutches of a local recycling center.
Mr. Bonneville attended Washington University in St. Louis on a full-ride merit scholarship, where he scored in the top 100 on the definitive William Lowell Putnam Mathematics Competition and took a total of 19 graduate classes (17 A's or A+'s) in multiple fields. He has also taught Calculus I and II at Cornell University (Ivy League university based in Ithaca, NY) and is a published researcher in operations research.
A leading tutor for almost a decade at Solve It! (a premier mathematics coaching firm), Mr. Bonneville is unrivaled in his talent for elucidating the most difficult of concepts to a variety of audiences, from child prodigy to start-up co-founder. He is now assisting whole companies, offering his sharp mind and adaptive insights to the corporate world.
Q: Does the team have experience with executive coaching? Does Mr. Bonneville have an MBA?
A: No, and no. We offer services to MBAs; we don't replace them. Instead, we bridge the tri-fold gap between engineering, business administration, and academic knowledge-workers. Mr. Bonneville is a MECO expert (math, econ, CS, and OR).
Q: Does Recondite offer licensed engineering consulting?
A: No, not right now. We will be launching a licensed subsidiary, which will allow us to include engineering consulting as part of a full palette of technical services, roughly one year from now (see the timeline above). Right now, we will be needing all engineering/industrial firms that use our services to sign an agreement that our consulting is not to be used in lieu of true engineering services.
Q: What is the legal status of Recondite Consulting?
A: Recondite Technical Consulting Company is a for-profit corporation registered in the State of Michigan. That said, Mr. Bonneville hopes that it will convert to non-profit status at an appropriate time, preferably soon. The goal of the company is not to make money, but to connect businesses in need of discounted technical/academic consulting services with first-rate expertise that for various reasons might go under-utilized or unappreciated.
Q: Some people have raised concerns about one of your consultants' personal history. Should we be concerned?
A:
Probably not.
But please know we are doing everything we can to allay these concerns.
Although we are unaware of any substantiation for almost all of these allegations,
we will be, in an abundance of caution, having the matter fully reviewed
within the next few months by a professional corporate investigation service.
Indeed, our consultant, in his own private capacity,
already hired a professional to review the most serious allegation,
which was found to be overhyped, and of no significance.
A university involved in the situation also confirmed
that neither they nor the accuser had any interest in launching a formal investigation
of our consultant--despite the accused actually expressly requesting an investigation.
While we await Recondite Consulting's official third-party investigation,
please keep in mind that we are unaware of any accusation against this consultant
that reflects negatively on his current academic/professional ability,
or on his ability to serve our company and our clients faithfully and with integrity.
Indeed, he has never been found guilty by any educational institution, any employer,
or any criminal or civil court,
on any matter except a very minor traffic infraction (driving a vehicle without an inspection
sticker--literally, while he was on the road to the auto shop,
to get it inspected).
P.S. Our consultant reports that the vehicle passed the inspection!
Q: We found objectionable content on your website. What should we do?
A: You should let us know immediately (preferably by leaving a voicemail at Ext. 100); it is a core goal of our business to comply with all relevant legal regulations and court orders.
Q: Why do you quote so much from the Bible on a business website?
A:
You need to eat, don't you?
There was a teacher in Galilee in the first century A.D.
He said some very strange things:
He said that in order to live, you need to die.
He said that a poor widow who gave two cents
to the temple treasury had given a bigger gift than the rich man.
He said to cut off your right hand and to gouge out your
eye should they cause you to sin, as this is better than going to hell.
He said not to stone a woman caught in adultery,
even though Jewish law said this needed to happen.
He said that he would rise from the dead.
Mr. Bonneville lives and works and plays today
despite a psychological assault on him so intense
that it would have left most people in their graves.
He does this because Jesus Christ defeated death,
and this same Jesus says, "Man does not live on bread alone,
but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."
Our lead consultant is alive today because of the
present, enduring, and incarnate Word of God.
He desires nothing for you more, than to share that word with you as well.
Mr. Bonneville is not going to shove it down your throat--that's just
not his personality--but he made the choice to
include it here on the website, to point you to the source of everything good
in earth and in heaven, and in the One Man who is able
to rescue you too from death, if only you will believe.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him, shall not perish,
but have eternal life.
This verse is not just a religious sentiment; it is literal
truth.
We all are going to die someday.
But your moral sense, your very consciousness points to
the fact that you are not merely a system of molecules.
You are a person, an image-bearer of almighty God,
dearly loved and cared about.
And you are going to live forever, whether with God
or in separation from Him.
Stop.
Think about that.
You are going to keep on living for ever and ever.
You are going to find the culmination of all your deepest longings
in the person of God, with joy beyond all compare,
or you are going to find yourself forever
broken, angry, and in pain and distress, because there
is something in you that keeps picking sin over and above
the opportunity to live in the presence of a perfect God.
God the Father sent Jesus to earth, to suffer and die--but
then to rise again--to pay the penalty for every
mistake and every wicked thought you have ever had,
and every other sin imaginable too, so that you can
be reconciled to God, breaking down that wall of separation, and spend both this life
and eternity with someone who loves you more than you can ever imagine.
It's not hard to accept the gift. All you have to do is kneel down and
say a simple prayer:
"Dear Jesus, I've heard about you, but I haven't been
sure whether you are really God, or whether you can
really forgive me for all the shameful things I've done
that no one else even knows about, but they would hate
me so much if they knew; sometimes people hate me,
or just plain dislike me, without reason.
Are you sure you really offer me forgiveness? Do you really love me?
I'm sorry for my sin, and I ask you to forgive me.
You say you promise that. You say you loved me enough to
die a torturous death on a cross to save me. Please save me.
I want to get to know you Jesus. Please come into my life,
and teach me how to truly live. Please don't forget about me.
I want to give myself to you, to the God who created me.
Thank you for your promises, and please help me to truly believe
what you say about your love for me. Please help me. I want to live for you.
In Jesus' Name, Amen."
If you prayed this prayer right now, then you know Jesus.
Yes, this is just a first step, but God himself is going to
come into your life and help you learn what it's like to partner
with him in a fallen world. God is going to personally guide
you through this journey, step by step. We'd love to do anything we can
to help, whether directly or to point you towards a Bible-based local congregation
where you can have fellowship with other Christians who love Jesus.
We are rejoicing (along with the angels in heaven!) at having a new
brother or sister. We love you so much!
Q: I'm already a Christian. Do you have any resources for me to grow in my knowledge of God?
A: Yes! See here for the elder Mr. Bonneville's Bible study website: parousia.online
Q: Any closing thoughts?
A: May the Lord God and the only True King bless all you who come upon this site!
Usually, we'll come out to your site. We are displaying the Detroit Renaissance Center (at right) as an indicator of our pride in our Detroit heritage. Our initial office will almost certainly be much smaller (and in a far less noteworthy building).
Months listed on the timeline above are only conjectural. At Recondite, we strive to be on the bottom of things--doing tough, deep project work and research--rather than on top of things. (See Knuth versus Email for the philosophy we have adopted, not implying endorsement by Knuth.)
Get in touch now. No matter how small or tedious your current projects feel, we'd love to help out--for free!
We are committed to supporting the flourishing of all God's people, especially of those who live in the United States, and most especially of our fellow Michiganders. We hope that the Renaissance Center will be restored and not demolished.
Please petition your local representatives to help GM find a workable solution!
